Could you fellas clear something up for me I have owen as targetman but this means and I quoute "He will bring other players in with flick-ons and holding up ball" that dosen't suit ownen at all does it. However I find he gets a few chances. Should I instead get players to aim at Centre, and make RVP who is on Attacking RW running infield to be playmaker and play through balls for owen?
Is Defoe for 7m to be my second choice striker a good option. I only play 1 striker at the moment and I have bendtner second choice. Should I play bendtner in reserves or Loan him for a season? I am in second season now.
Also have vela but have decided to loan out again. Is this wise?
If the Hulk is out there as usual i'd respect your advice never gone wrong so far matey.
Howdy mate?! See I think that Owen can play as a target man if you want but obviously because of his size, jumping etc, he wont be good in the air. But he can work wonders for you if you set his supply as "to feet" or "run onto ball". Obviously there would be no point in having him hold the ball up either as he's not nearly strong enough to do that. So he definitely wont be making a strong, aerial Drogba type TM. But can still be effective if his supply is right.
If I remember correctly, Owen was scoring a lot of goals for you. Well, as the old cliche goes - If it aint broke, dont fix it. I'd just leave the formation as it is and let him play.
Play RVP on the wings and I'd recommend having an arrow up to the ST position. He should always be arriving in the box and score plenty of goals that way. I dont think playing him as a playmaker is the best thing to do as his passing is not the highest around. I'd just stick to the way you were going or else revert to a 4-4-2 and play RVP upfront with Owen.
Defore is a good goal scorer and I think it pretty decent value at 7M. But I'd play Bendtner ahead of him. Nicklas develops pretty nicely if you give him 20-30 games a season (which I alwayas do). So dont send Bendtner on loan and play him in the less important matches and keep Defoe as backup (although he scores a lot in the first team as well).
Sending Vela on loan again is definitely a good idea. He takes a while to show him true potential so its best to let him have some match experience.
