My defenders seem unaware of the concepts of either marking or the offside rule and enjoy "Short passing" the ball 50 yards in the air to my strikers.
I once saw one of my midfielders stand in the centre-circle for 5 minutes while play went on all around him - turning around now and then.

Sounds liek a few teams I could mention in the EPL

Heh, I start a new season after 2 whole years of "Text Only". First game - against a newly-promoted team. First highlight:
Their goalkeeper makes a long kick downfield which both of my central defenders, one of my midfield players and my goalkeeper all come for. They ALL miss the ball and the opposition striker runs the ball into the net.
Even more galling is that my keeper ran 20 yards out of his area to miss the ball completely.
I immediately switched back to 'Text Only' and ended up winning the match 3-1.
Fact is, I don't care if my players make basic mistakes, but if they're going to do incredibly stupid things which 3-year olds wouldn't, I don't want to see it.

Totally agree there. I've resigned from watching the games in 2D, because i couldn't sit down and watch all my players shoot the ball all over the place from every point of the field.

This thing with keepers missing the ball happens too often to be a coincidence. Maybe a 4.1.5 issue? I don't remember it happening in othere versions.

I disagree completely. I wanna see my players feck up myself, that's a much longer lasting impression than some ambigious text message. If they feck up often enough they get replaced with someone who hopefully screws up less often.

This would hardly save me from watching my whole team screw up
