I am playing in my second season as Montichiari in the Italian lower leagues. After a good run of form in the second half of the season I managed to finish in third place and thus in the play-offs.

I won in the semi and moved through to the final against Ternana, the team that finished in second place. It is a legged final and the first leg was at my home ground. This game finished 0-0, but for some reason CM made the game have extra time. It finished at 0-0 after extra time.

I then played the second leg at their ground. Once again after desperately trying to score the game finished 0-0. This time there was no extra time and for some reason CM promoted my team claiming I was the higher ranked team, despite the fact I was clearly not.

As I did not deserve this promotion I quit and didn't save the game. I don't want to take a promotion I don't deserve. I would feel too guilty, but I have to continue the game some how. Should I play the game again till someone earns the promotion fairly or should I throw the match as the other team earnt the promotion last time. What should I do?

Play again its unlikely to be 0-0 twice thee next time. Don't let your morals ruin a perfectly good game!!

I don't understand the system myself, but I had that happen in my game with one difference. I was the one that was left down.

I don't think it's purely on current league position

Maybe it's based on matches played between the two teams and who's got the best part on those matches...

I am not sure how the Italian leagues work myself, however, I don't think I could play that game again. If my CM game has crashed and I lose games, I tend to go on holiday until the point it crashed or resign and take over a new team.

I don't think so as I only got one point from the two matches against them. Ah well, I think I'll just play the match again and take whatever happens.
