I've always made my teams up with lots of under 25s. Youth is the best policy, then there's the traditional player's prime, the 26-30 range, that they'll grow into.
I do like to keep a few veterans around though, especially as in 03-04, it seems to me that a veteran in a young team has more of an effect than in prior versions. (I'll not say more than that as I don't want to be tipping).

I blame doctors, physios and 'specific vitaminic supplements' for the Old Player thing... SI just reflected how things will be in some years...

If you don't believe it see the italian left fullback at Valencia :eek: (There are lots more... just the first that crossed my mind)
