But that is realistic. Managers all have teams they don't want to manage. A former Celtic/Liverpool great who was playing at Hillsborough was offered the Sheff Wed manager's job a few years later. Not surprisingly he didn't want it.

Exactly, there's a number of clubs I automatically turn down, just because I despise them. Though Hull isn't on that list for me. Most of the clubs I detest that way are further up the ladder.

Bah!!! Unprofessional behaviour if you ask me... :p

I've taken the worst possible imaginable job for a person born in Vilanova i la Geltrú (the Lorca job: they made us runner-up for the playoff leagues for promotion to 2nd Div B last year with their dirty tactics and more-than-probable-bribing of referees and players)...

But take the job I did and my foul feelings and resentment against them has been somewhat softened and my only concern is about how my virtual incarnation will be received when he makes it back to his hometown...:o

Score more goals and concede fewer. Scout good players, assuming you have a scout who can recognize them, and train your players in the way they should go...and hope that's not to other teams (and of course, assuming you have coaches who can train).

Beyond that, see the header about tipping.
