After the fun of playing at Ipatinga many years ago I reinstalled CM 01/02 and went back to Brazil again. CM 03/04 seems not to like new games on my PC atm

Anyway I'm at Tubarao who play in Santa Catarina state league (a smallish one) and National Division 3.

First season:

Santa Catarina State League - stormed home late to grab 4th place and go into the playoffs. Then pulled off a huge upset in the semi-finals to make the state league final. Which I then lost even though it finished 1-1 on aggregate as the lowest placed qualifier

Cups - sucked arse

ND3 - A late late goal in another game saw us miss qualifying for the second stage on goal difference

A season of missed opportunities.

The usual hallmarks of the Brazilian league in 01/02 were there. No money, massive debts, a ridiculous number of teams and players. I managed to sign a couple of good youngsters from youth searches.

Anyway I've finished season 2 of this save so may as well give the spiel now.

Lack of funds and goalkeepers meant scouring Brazil for a couple of loans

Santa Catarina: We finished 4th again in the State League and this time lost in the semis as lowest placed qualifier

Before the ND3 season started I loaned in another striker because we weren't scoring much and I had no cash.

ND3: Dominated our group to progress to phase 2. Won the two-legged tie to qualify for the final group stage. Topped out final group stage group to earn promotion to ND2 next season. Although it was a dead tie in terms of promotion we took on the other group winner Bangu for the 3rd division title and won that

ND3 has a strange structure... group stage, knockout, group stage, final

There is a growing debt which is barely being serviced by cash injections so I expect a takeover will come eventually. However the board have increased my wages cap for next season in ND2 so I am trying to find some good loan players that I can make permanent later on Bosmans or if a miracle occurs and we have cash.

No point in starting an update if the game crashes in the first season so I always wait before posting. I was going to post this in the moonshine hut but the appeal of being first was too much
