Hell no! Realistic is choosing your own Nationality. LLM's not about making the game unrealistically difficult, it's about doing the best you can with what you've got.

Back on topic: i personnally couldn't care less about the number of jobs offered. I just reject them and get on with it. If there is a job i want, i apply for it. I set my nationality as the country i'll be mostly playing in.

The manager of the Indian national side (Stephen Constantine, previously manager of Nepal) is an English bloke who desperately wants to get into management in his home country but doesn't ever get so much as a polite rejection letter to any of his applications. now this for me raises a straightforward question - since I've never been asked to manage a national side I don't know how this goes:
Can you manage a national side and resign from your club committment? And if you can do you get job offers from clubs a la Eriksson?
Yeh I know it isn't a LLaMa issue but you started it ya poofs and I cannae be arsed scooting over to CM queries. Wassa truth, huh?

I believe it is more realistic to choose a nationality that is appropriate for the league where you start. I like to manage in Brazil so 999 times out of 1000 a manager starting at the bottom there is going to be Brazilian or at a pinch South American.
An Australian managing a Brazilian 3rd division team is about as likely as a Swedish wunderkind playing for one.

I also always set my nationality to that of the country I start playing in. I think it is more realistic, as a local is more likely to manage a Lower League team.

I like to think I don't sart this game as a fresh faced (at my age) chap out of coaching college, but rater someone who had been about a bit on the sunday league scene, or school boy level... and then get some job at a two bit no hope club, as such I'd travel anywhere to fulfill my dream, and a club in need is also going to try anything.
I tend to go English or Dutch. In my carlisle save I'm english, though do have basic Malay, as i started over there. Though my work save Itanian C2 i went in as Dutch.
It's all down to personal choice, but the reality is that this game can be hard enough on you sometimes, theres no need IMO to make it any harder.

I will always set my nationality to English, although I can understand why people change to the league they play in.
For me, it has probably got something to do with me always playing the English league, but even when I don't my nationality stays the same. Land of hope and.........
The job offers tend to annoy me a bit as well. Before, when I was offered a job as manager of a Division 3 side it was a big thing, someone has approached me to be their manager in the dizzy heights of the Nationwide league. Now, they are so frequent, the sparkle has been lost.

I have always set my nationality to Australian in every version of CM I have played including the most recent and I have never ever received a job offer. I have applied and got a few jobs (yay Bury!!) but never been offered. Didn't even know that could happen till joining this forum.
