Hmm, true, are the FA planning to introduce wage caps then? I'd rather have a Under 23s rule, wage caps would surely encourage big clubs to snap up all the best youngsters from smaller clubs. Or alternatively, players of significant quality could be forced to go abroad where no such restrictions apply...

I tired leaving the spot empty, but it wouldn't work then either. It simply required me to have 2 U21 players in the squad.

Like someone said, I should've just went on holiday and let the AI work around it, since the AI can use grey players in the 1st team.

Hindsight is a wonerful thing

Talk of rebooting a game reminds me of the dodgy early CM4 days wjhere I don't think I got passed 3 seasons with out a crash. Fingers crossed my online games is still crash free after 5 seasons and 03/04 has been good for 9 seasons.

They already have a wage cap in Div 3 (not sure about the other 2) which constitutes 60% of annual turnover, dropping to 50%.

No, I didn't try leaving two spots empty. But I was good on the 6 German U24 requirement. It was just the U21s that I tanked.

BTW, I thought replaying the season would be lame, so I simply moved to the South Division and picked up Offenbach. The funnies I posted on the "whackiness" thread are from that game. I actually finished the first season with them, and I'll start an update in the next day or two.
