I have no problem with applying for jobs. Why not if you are looking to better yourself. This doesn't mean that I apply for every job going though.

I would only apply for a job that I realistically think I could have a decent chance at getting and more importantly, succeeding with. The "career" way of doing things is a good way to play the game, I have tried it before, but I only ever thought of moving when I thought I'd done as much as I could at the current club.
