I'm slightly more uneasy about National Jobs. I wait 'til the ask me and even then I give careful consideration to my "experience" before accepting or rejecting.
In your case, I have my doubts whether such luminaries as the Danes would ask a relative unknown to manage the National Team whereas Bhutan may ask a fat bloke down the Pub.
The Danes will give anyone a job In the Zealot game an unknown Austrian had the job, he was actually a rated worse manager than in the world. I ended up signing him for Hampton & Richmond Borough as a player/ass man. He promptly scored two goals on his debut and then later that season we were relegated from the Conference
Do you have Danish nationality in your game? If so it's rather more realistic that they would offer it to you if you are being successful (in a relative sense) than some random English bloke managing in the conference or D3
My favourite story of Ougoudougou was when they had the charity event "Run the World" for famine relief in Ethiopia. The Presodent of Burkino Faso announced that all of his government ministers would be running (it was noted that he'd threatened them with shooting if they didn't).
Every time I start a new game it is with the intention of becoming an international manager. I only start applying when I achieve some success (which I admit is not that often).
I also never resign from club management as there is so little to do as a national manager.
I never apply for national jobs. And I usually wait until I have at least a decent resume before I take any offer.
As for managing both, this is one allowance I make to "it's a game." There simply isn't enough for a national team manager to do in the game to make it interesting by itself.
I've olny ever been offered 2 national jobs, gave up England after a year 'cause I couldn't be ar*ed to sort out the suqad, then got offeres the Sweeden job, took it but as Sweeden are not a slected league it's hard to fine enough good players, tho I did manage a 2-1 victory over the Scotland in my first game
