Default Working With Schoolteachers....

After starting up every game with Swindon (my team supported in real life) I've decided to go for even more of a challenge and go for Telford. Is there anywhere I can find out bout the club before starting (Part time/full time etc.). Also, to clarify: Can I use player search screen as in the main one with filters e.g.: is it fair to go to Player Search, enter filters and view players, or does it have to be done via scouting?

Thanks, and I hope LLM is as fun as it looks!

LLM isn't fun. It's pain. It's life.

When selecting teams though, you should be able to click on the team's to show you club detail information. I usually do that when starting in foreign leagues so I can get a quick overview about the teams, so I don't end up at a fallen giant who won 30 championships so far.

About player search (as long as it's not quicksearch/find) - many people use it, others don't. You bought the game, you play it the way you want. As long as you keep it realistic, go for it. Which means, don't filter for guys with specific attributes.

Ahh ok so info filtering like wage/value/position is acceptable by most, but "+10" for finishing isn't? (sorry just to clarify - I'm a little hungover!).

Champ Manager is pain in my experience.... too many England vs. France scenarios for me over the years

look at it that way - when you're trying to find a player for a special positiion, you're first checking your shortlist. if it's empty, you might check the player search, using positional filters. transfer listed filters. age filters. ask your ass man to filter a bit more for you. then send out your scouts to assess the guys that are left. put the promising ones on your shortlist. repeat the cycle until some crap player your scout suggested signs for you.

Maybe you should give the sticky "LLM Guidelines, The Return." thread a go. Some points, including your question, are pretty much explained in it.

Otherwise, Welcome to LLM. Enjoy it, and if you behave, you'll be treated with respect and tolerance.

There are no intolerant LLaMas Anyone who is capable of reading the forum header, as you did, is welcome here.

So welcome, and enjoy!

On your player search question:
Some would recommend that the player search screen be used sparingly or not at all, but it's a matter of personal choice. Personally I only tend to use it if I have an injury crisis and need a loan player for a specific position (like GK) in a hurry. The key for LLaMas is to be as realistic as we can, so whatever feels right to you is fine.

I'm highly intolerant.

Doesn't take much to get me on my high horse.
