This one has to be taking the biscuit. Very tough game, 1-1 with Siena, and in the 91st minute against all odds I grab a goal. Then for some utterly bizarre reason, their goalkeeper takes the kickoff! My striker who just scored his second came promptly in for a tackle, hit it from the halfway line and finished his hat-trick. Why on earth did their goalkeeper take the kickoff?!
Derby (me) v's Man U, Charity Shield
I was leading 2-0, then they score 30 yard free kick, fair enough I thought, then won a penalty, hmmm was slightly anoyed.
But to top it off in injury time they score a goal from 45 yards!! And the scorer?
Darren Fletcher ffs..........Darren Fletcher.............
Sunderland (me) 3 - 5 Liverpool
First half I score three 30-40 yard screamers.
second half they score a tap in, one from a corner 2 long shots and Reina bags the fifth from a goal kick which bounces over my keeper who instead of running back towards the goal stands perfectly still and swivels slowly on the spot as I scream obsenitys at him.
i had just scored, and they were taking kickoff. For some reason (high defensive line wasnt on) Reina was standing next to Gerrard :@ and Rooney scores from the halfway line
It was a known bug when players were swapping halves in extra time, but this is something different, with the goalkeeper inexplicably taking the kickoff.
Possible thought: I think my first goal was controversial and the goalkeeper was up shouting at the referee. Could it be something like that meaning that the two closest people to the ball take the kickoff?
