My computer has an Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor (6ghz) and 1 gb of ram (upgrading to 2 next week). At the moment, how many leagues could I run comfortably?

Firstly stop talking nonsense.
Your processor isn't 6Ghz - more like dual core 3Ghz (it doesn't double the speed - a common misconception).
You could probably run them all if you wanted to though. (Once you double the RAM)

I run all of Asia, South Africa, Iceland, and England with a large database, minimum detail for all competitions i'm not in, and i FLY through my game...barely even notice the loading times.

It's a weird thing about FM. Resolving the matches never seems to cause problems for me (dual core 6320 running at 2.66GHz). The game has these pauses though while it's "thinking" about something seemingly unrelated to the matches themselves. Doesn't seem dependent on the number of leagues/database. I have 2GB ram btw.

im no exert. but i dont think your processor will run at 6ghz. it'll have 2 3ghz cores. most apps cant use two cause so can only run at 3ghz. fm can use both so will be a lot faster, but itll never reach 6ghz.
