As title suggest - for example, Stevie Gerrard cost me 70mil and rating is 6.10 FFS!

no matter what I do or what instructions I try my midfield centres are still rotten

Can anyone help me?

I play 4-4-2, attacking tactic, direct ball with wing play.

Is it a fault? I still win but they are poop. Has this happened before?

I think (dont quote me) that its a bit of a bug, alot of people are getting it including me, its quite annoying but the funny things is in the match engine they dont seem to play so bad.

Iv found if you move them to amc or jig them about a bit you can boost it up (but not much) also giving them the free role (only if they're good though) can help them play a bit better.

What instructions do your MC's have?

The only problem I've ever had is when I play a DM, in MC or AMC I've never had any problems as serious as yours, especially with a player like Gerrard, he really should be averaging 7.2 at least.

Is it just a short term thing, or has he been playing badly over a long period of time? It might just be taking him a while to settle in to your style of play. You may also want to check what sort of role you're putting him in, and what you're asking him to do. If he's regularly doing something he has (relatively) low stats for, that may explain the low rating.

my central mids are doing superb. stevie g scoring loads and setting them up. masch solid as ever and moutinho doing well.

but if your playing direct ball taht means your basically bypassing the midfield? thats' what direct ball is in my mind. straight from defense to attack.

your playing wing play? does this mean always passing to the wings? well unless your getting the midfielders forward to thrive on the crosses or getting the central mids to the wing as well their going to struggle to get the ball

It doesnt matter what tactic I set them to, if we play directly or play through the midfield - they are still rotten.

Tried everything, nothing seems to work, obviously however Im doing something wrong

this is an issue in my game. bought van der vaart for £12M, but despite winning 2 leagues with him and giving him no specific instructions (even though he has good attacking ppms), he gets an average rating of <6.70.

to counter this, i put him on penalties. a guaranteed 8.

the rest of the squad were above 7.00 at least, fabregas, who i retrained as an AMC, was 7.60 despite a worrying lack of goals (in a slow paced, short passing 4-4-2).

i usually play 4-4-2 and set one midfielder to a more defensive role while the other neutral. i also have then have defensive mid closing down all over pitch (but not all the way) but have neutral mid making forward runs, usually works for me....

if all else fails, change formation

I'm sure this is one of the things SI are going to sort for the patch (!?!?!). The players do actually play well, but the ratings are a little out at the moment. I don't think that passing % rates as highly as it should and of course tackling in this version seems to be non existent (ok, so that's a slight exaggeration) so they don't get improved ratings for that either.

just looked at stevie g's ratings.

last 3 seasons he's averaged about 7.06 after 45+ games in a season.
masch gets about 6.9 on average but i keep him sitting quite deep. not much expression allowed for him.

just bought silva for 55mill pounds and he's sitting in CM and has 2 goals 1 asist in 6 games. getting high ratings but it's early days.
