I keep forgetting to put my players back in the team when I've rested them for a cup game...
Does anyone think that ever happens to Arsene Wenger? After half an hour of Arsenal V Spurs, Mr. Wenger is sat on the bench going to himself, "bugger, I forgot to put Gilberto back in the team"...
i do the wenger league cup selection thing (which is dangerous as the board expect too much from this competition) & i clear the team after every game, or save the 1st team line up.
i've forgotten to recall fabregas in spain squads before, he didn't want to play for me again
i forgot to recall barry ferguson to my scotland squad, dropped him because he was injured, and he took a huff with me and refused to play for my scotland team again.
but i was his manager at rangers at the time and he had no problem with me there and i was on his fav person list.
No.
He's got a few days to think about it though, we are a handful of mouse-clicks away from forgetfulness.
I used to do it but now I clear the selection, get my ass man to pick (if he's on the same wavelenght as me) and adjust to suit. He never forgets.
There is always the team selection feature as well.
The closest real life example I can think of to this was (I think) the final of the 1998 world cup, when Brazil subbed on Ronaldo in the first minute of the match.
It's not quite the same (I think the actual reason was that they didn't know if he would be fit enough to play by the time they had to hand the team sheet in; he wasn't fit enough to play, they lost) but it's the closest I can think of.
This is one thing I'd like added to international management - a list of eligible players with say 10 caps or more that aren't in the squad for you to check before submitting a squad.

Ronaldo was definately not subbed in the first minute of the 1998 World Cup Final.
