Hi all, long time player and reader of the forums but have decided to take the plunge and download new skins etc for the first time, my only prob is I have no idea what to do with the files!
how do I "activate" the skin, and kits I have downloaded so they are on the game, think I have saved them in the correct place but now my game is running as usual.
Many thanks in advance and if this is posted in the wrong place and just plain annoying you feel free to abuse my stupidity.
Any ideas?

Well, for the kits just extract them to C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2006/data/graphics/pictures/kits
And for the skin/skins extract it/them to C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2006/data/skins

make sure 'use skin cache' is unticked in the preferences menu

I'll say something you must know already, but once you don't mentioned it, I'm writing this just in case.
In the Options->Preferecnces Panel it is a combo box where you select the skin you want to use. It's defult value is Mettalic 2006.

| Thats cool thanks very much. got the skin working fine now, however the kits wont "activate" in my game.
Think they are supposed to be saved to relevant file, i.e league 1 for league 1 kits etc, but epl have no file and wont replace previous ones?
any help would be great.

Just extrract the EPL kits to the pictures/kits/eng folder, that should work. there is no EPL folder at all, it is created when u extract the skins to tht place i just told ya. :thup:

and sorry to be a pain, but there is no relevance as to the type of kits being downloaded, i.e 3gt or creased?
