So (i assume) there cannot be a conflict?? (i.e. more that one config file/ more than one line)

The default kits are shown in the info/matchday screens.

All i have downloaded are a few skins.. which (as far as i know) shouldnt affect my kits..

So.. Anyone any ideas? (I'm asking as i've not found anyone who hasnt found a way to make them reappear and i'm stupmed - read the board every day and havent seen one like this)

If you have the skin cache on, try turning it off and switching to a different skin and see if that helps. If you have the skin cache off try deleting the cache files, to force the game to rebuild them.

If you haven't downloaded any kits are you actually looking at licensed teams (Scottish Premier, English Championship) as unlicensed teams (English Premier) won't have any kits.

Do the kits show in any skin?

Did you install the kits when you installed the game?

Right... to clarify (i'm on here every day so i know the usual to do list)

The kits were working (for my club) All the kits are creased (for all teams) everything was fine (as it has been since i added/changed them many moons ago)

All the other kits are working.. just not my team. I havent changed a config file or anything.. and the line in the comfig file is to the exact kit (as it must have been before as it'd never stopped working)

The only addition i have made is in skins.. where i've added 4 or 5 recently... but as far as i am aware it's not been known to cause probs before.

I have tried turning the skin cache on and off.. and still no difference.. it's just v.strange how it's only my teams kits that have changed (I even added kits for my reserve team - and they still work)
I've tried different skins... 5 or 6 and still the same.

To sum up.... Everything was fine. I download 4 or 5 skins and suddenly my teams kits are gone and i'm left with the basic fm generated ones. I do still have a kit. Just not the creased and logo'd ones i had before.

Any ideas? All i can think of is to delete the cache files.. but i'm not sure where they are without having a search thru the forums.. so if someone could point me there.. it'd save me a few mins/hrs.!!

Cache files are located where your save game files are (in the My Documents folder by default).

What team are you managing?

Do the kit names have any Capital letters or spaces in the name, the game doesn't always like these. Also check to see if your clubs ID has changed for any reason.

If none of that works try moving the kits to a different folder and adding corresponding lines to a config file in that folder and remove the lines from the orignal config file.

The names are all lower case, exactly as they were when the game started

Managing Barnsley in EL1
will try to move em and see if it works. Just weird they suddenly stopped

Did you apply one of the patches just before the kits went missing?
If you did there maybe an extra config file installed into the eng/english/england folder(whatever its called by default).

As i said.. the only change is addition of skins. i read the board everyday but havent found anyone thats had this exact problem.
I've seen the solutions in the past.. and the ways they occured.. but i dont think they're applicable.
I'm using 6.3 but i've had it since day1 of being available.

Update......

I have put the 2 kits and the config lines into the Argentina folder as a test....(and deleted the kits from the england/league1 folder and the lines from the english config)

So i have the kits only in the Argentina folder, and the text is only in that config file...

The home kit shows up in matches... and when i go to my teams information it's there with the basic fm away kit. When i continue and go back to it.. the away kit is there.

The command lines are:
<record from="barnsley_home" to="graphics/pictures/team/606/kits/home"/>
<record from="barnsley_away" to="graphics/pictures/team/606/kits/away"/>

Yet both show up alternativly as the home kit (compared to not at all previously). Will have to wait until i play more games to see if the kits change for the next match)

It's a weird one!

Right.. i restarted the game.. and both kits appeared..

So i'm assumning it's worked. Cheers for the help..
