with his move to pompey very close is there any way i can get him to be dubbed the next makele like all of the reports i keep reading suggest?

Nah, just delayed. Apparently he didn't do too well on the medical in England so they've sent him to do another medical but in Portugal.

Maybe they spotted something dodgy like a heart irregularity, etc that could need checking out by a proper doctor.


But you can't dub people manually, it would be a nice cosmetic option for future data updates in FM2007 though.

Delayed is the official version, but it won't go through.

Manuel has a very serious condition which is called "pubalgia" in portuguese and for which I don't know the translation. It is as much a serious problem as it is an obvious one, the boy did not play **** for the entire last season and I was awed to know anyone would pay more than €5M for him.

Anyway porthsmouth can count themselves lucky because, thou no doubt a good player, he has been hyped to hell.

Manuel Fernandes needs to do a surgery and if all goes well he'll be able to play at a good level again. "Pubalgia" is a deep strong pain in the crotch when the player's leg stretches or does certain movements.
Manuel Fernandes problem should have been solved by now, Benfica's medical department is lacking something, other benfica players experienced the same problems. It seems they force the players to do games when they should have a rest.

Anyway, I wish all the luck to Manuel Fernandes, he's a modest, calm player who thinks before speaking (rare thing nowadays).
Moutinho and Manuel Fernandes are for me the best youth players in Portugal and I believe they will have a great future.
