When you are doing tactics & there is an option to cross the ball for your players, is it wise to only do this with wingers or should I be using my Centre Mids to cross the ball as well?

I would say wingers should be set to cross often to increase the opportunities for front men.
If you've got a tall target man as one of your forwards especially one with excellent heading attributes then possibly could be worth using crossing for your central midfielders.
Only one way to find out, and if you don't want it to mess up your league games, use it in friendlies.
Also could be worth doing if weather conditions are poor, say with a heavy rain sodden pitch which makes a passing game a bit dfficult.

personally, when my team become one of the best; like title contenders i put the wingers crossing on mixed, i find this helps becuase it gives your wingers another option, helps you keep the ball and gives the oppostion more to worry about when defending, especially if you have good long shooters around the box when attacking
