There are loads of standard tactics available at the start of the game and also loads of tactics made by this forums members available via download.

I have had the game since its release date and was wondering which tactic is the most widely used by this forums members?

Have you guys got a favorite?

The problem my friends and I have is that one tactic seems to work for a little while but then suddenly doesnt seem to work and then we are forced to try another tactic.

IRL teams tend to stick to a formation and just buy better players then they currently have.

i have a favourite tactic

but it was built from an accumulation of ideas, thoughts & suggestions stolen from these forums

the game does seem to get used to "how" you play
so im working on a 2nd tactic now, so i can switch at will

IRL, a manager will look at the both his team's and the opposition team's strengths and weakness EVERY game, and give his players individual and team instructions based on how he wants them to play that game, after he's worked out how to win the game tactically.

I very much doubt that Alex Ferguson has ever told his team to 'just go out do the same as last Saturday'.

The key to consistancy is inconsistancy. Change your tactics every game to suit who you are up against, and forget trying to find a 'one tactic does all' situation.

This approach does work, but you can also use the same approach throughout the season with success too. There are many ways of playing this game.

Sure, but it's well documented that a tactic that does well will not do well forever.

I've been using the same tactic now for three or four seasons and it's still going strong. I've been re-ranked all I can be now as well.

Not before the game no. I change in-game occasionally depending on circumstances.
