Just ondered whether anyone could help me?
I started the game as southend and am now in 2012 and in my 3rd season in the premiership.
I am expected to finish mid-table.
I made my own tactics which have worked so far, but in most of my games this season the opposition have been havin 10-20 shots a game, alot higher than previous seasons.

So.. Just wondered, do i need to change my tactics? or just tweak them? or is it just a phase which will pass??

You can change your tactics a little bit

Set opposition instructions to close down the opponents with a higher long shots, which would most commonly mean using your midfielders to close down their midfielders. This gives you the cover at the back still but stops the opponents getting off as many shots - and even when they do they are more likely to be off target. Occasionally there just isn't anything you can do about it as your opponents may be frustrated and resort to shooting from distance anyway

Doing this can occassionally bring your players out of position if they are rushing to cover where someone else should be. This may leave spaces in defence, meaning that instead of a long shot, the opposition does an easier, short pass to an unmarked striker who then has a much easier shot at goal. To counter this, play an offside trap so that the striker is offside and the opposition on the ball has little option but to shoot.
