According to the default instructions for a Striker, crosses and through balls should be set to rarely. I'm sure I read the same on here somewhere, so that's what I've used till recently.
I'd always find that no matter my strikers find find themselves in the box, they will shoot for goal, regardless of how acute the angle is, or whether another striker is in the box. Infuriating at times, especially as they are only lower conference skill level, and not the type of player to hit the top corner from the bye line.
Since putting crossing and through balls to mixed, they are much more adept at finding another striker in the box and providing a simple cutback, usually resulting in a simple goal.
I wonder if anyone else noticed the same.
Also, what's the deal with my striker breaking with the ball, dribbling for a short time, then booting the ball into space in front of himself when he's the most advanced striker?? Is he just shitting his pants at being chased? Annoying anyway
