| Maybe this will help you a bit.. A player who is resilient is someone who easily refinds his form, someone who doesn't lose his head too soon when he's under pressure, he easily recuperates from bad performances and can take criticism etc..
A good example is David Villa. He scores very high on adaptibility, ambition, loyalty and pressure.

Anyway, Jens scores very high on ambition, controversy, pressure and professionalism and very low on sportmanship and temperament.

I've found another personality type: At my team, I've got a kid Peter Fox, listed as having a load of potential by my ass man.
His personality type? "Slack".
I can see why. His professionalism is a 1, he scores low in temperament and loyalty, and the rest of his mental stats are mostly pathetic; composure, influence, consistency, aggression, important match rating, versatility, determination, teamwork and work rate are ALL well into single digits. That takes a special talent.
And according to my FM Modifier, he's not even really going to be THAT good; max potential is 153. Does that ever fluctuate?

i have a young player who thinks his career as a professional footballer is over. i tried building up his confidence by playing him frequently. his ratings usually fell between 5-7. more often 5 but occasionally 8 when the whole team is playing really really well, scoring few goals. i got sick of him as i mutual terminated him. anyone who had or has any experience in dealing with these sort of players? giving them a new leaf?

| Yes, that can fluctuate. You can search in FM Editor, if he scores a -9 or something like that, his potential ability will fluctuate. The higher the number, the more chance he can become a really good player. Agüero, Piqué and Rossi are players who score -10, and they will always become world class players. I think your player is a -9, so that means his potential is within the range of 150-180.
Hope this helps.

Your wrong.
When you start a new game the Max Potential Ability (PA) is set from the range. Once the game is started you are stuck with that maximum, only Current Ability (CA) can change and it can never go above the PA.

| Depends on what he meant, I was assuming he referred to FM Scout.
But as someone's potential is 153 in FM Editor it will never fluctuate, only his current ability will, since a player will become better in years.

I've got a new one Explosive Striker
I always found that this guy would be incredible for bursts in a match and then do nothing. Other characteristics of him were he was very ambitious, wanted very high contracts and wouldn't settle for anything other than indespensible or important first team player.
