For the previous few seasons I have been playing the tactics below with Eddie Johnson and Miroslav Klose up front.

In the summer I signed Wayne Rooney. However I haven't really been able to get him to have much of an impact on games.

How could I do this? Would shortening up my passing help?

Any other suggestions are welcome.

How the hell did you get Rooney and Klose to Portsmouth??!!

Well I'm in 2012.

Signed Klose a couple of seasons ago on a free.

Have won the league for 3 consecutive season now as well as the Champions League a couple of seasons in a row.

Then in the summer, I had loads of money hanging around so I spent it all on Mr Rooney.

Ah, ok.

I would probably set Rooney to run with ball, and Klose to hold up, if I was you. Don't let any of them have too much creative freedom; you'll end up with lots of speculative shots on goal, making the opponent keeper a supergoalie.

Did what you said and it seems to have had an impact.

Beat Arsenal 2-0, Rooney one of the goalscorers and alos had an 8, while Klose gets Man of the match with a 9. :thup:
