I'm sure for older versions that people took various "super" tactics - played as different teams and gave a table (comparing home and away) at the end of the season to show which had the best results. I know FM07 seems to rely more on tweaking, but has this been done for this version?

For example, 3 teams are picked, say Liverpool, Wigan and Portsmouth - and for each club they play a holiday season with a proposed tactic. At the end of the season, we can view who had the best success, home and away stablity of the tactic and perhaps an indication of what may best suit bigger or lower teams.

Does anyone know if something like this has been done for FM07? As I say, I'm sure I saw it for earlier versions and it was both helpful and informative.

Don't think that something has been done yet..although many "pro's" of this game refute the relevance of such tests. I do too.

But if you wish, you could start such a test

such an experiment would be very interesting - i think someone did something similar quite a while ago now but i remember that 'RY Wolverine' (rashidi's tactic) did very well
