It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I will try all of what you said but the hardest thing to decide at the moment is formation and mentalities any experts out there want to help?

A 4-1-3-1-1 I think was what the 03/04 side was doing, as for mentalities have defensive for both centre backs, perhaps first notch of normal for the full backs, have wingers on last notch of normal, AMC on attacking and striker on attacking. That would work imo

I played that formation against fulham was brilliant but another thing I found if u play the left striker right on the left wing like in the Ajax system it stretches the play like Henry does Free roles seem to work so now its the formation you mentioned with the left winger one arrow up and ljungberg diagonal arrow to AMC slow tempo does actually seem to work better its very unpredicatble with creative freedom

Yes that formation with a wide man sounds very 'Invincibles' however the tempo IRL was so fast.

The team didnt have any real width all the wide players imo should cut in from the bylines.

I would say a 4 - 3 - 2 a it always looked lop sided to the left hand side to me but it worked well.

So, width mixed. Attack to the left hand side and have the Henry-ish player have an arrow to the left, because that was how Arsenal played during that unbeaten season

Ive tested the tactic now it looks very oragnised and arsenal like the quick tempo works but there's something missing not enough movement and runs

Forward runs from wingers? Fullbacks should have them too, make sure the whole team are on short passing

OK im no expert in FM but I did pay attention to the invincibles (the whole world did though didn't they. Aaaa the good old days)

- - - - - - Lehmann - - - - -

Lauren - Campbell - Toure - Cole

Ljungberg - Edu - Vieira
- - V
- - - Bergkamp - - - - < Pires
- - - - -V - -Henry >

I have no idea how this will display but here goes. Ignore dashes thats to make space and the V's are to show runs. I would say Bergkamp was behind and right of Henry and Pires wide left cutting in even freddie didnt stay out wide that often.

Let me know if this makes sense or if you agree / disagree.

4-1-3-1-1 works great one game useless the next game im thinking of starting again using your formation but I think we really should talk about whether the arsenal tempo is slow or fast or normal maybe, mentalities, free role, creative freedom and foward runs that formation
Fawcett does look good
