I made a 3-6-1(3-1-3-2-1) beacuse I have a very strong FC and 2 great AMCs, but I want them to do one-twos with the FC and get INSIDE the box. The thing is that when they do it they usually shoot even when they have space to run into, and of course, they usually miss the long range shot. I already put shoot on rarely, run with ball on mixed and creativity very low but it havent changed... any ideas?

use arrows from AMC to FC and see if the players are going into the box ... don`t limit players creativity if they have high rating for flair and creativity this can sometimes make the difference between a draw and a narrow win

you mean use arrows on the AMC in the direction of the FC??
I dont like limiting my AMCs creativity but saw in this forum that that could be a possibly solution. I have also put mentality on defensive(also saw that as a possibly solution).
If I put the arrows they will be in the same postion as the FC when my team have the ball and that isnt the idea. I mean, I want them to bring the ball closer to the area, and them do an one-two with the FC.

I will try the arrows thing and see what happens. The best result I had was with Sarrows, but that made my team play too wide and thats not the idea. After i try the arrow i will post the resuts here

I had the same problem, having 2 AMCs they get shooting from the edge of the box instead of playing nice one touch into the box.

Was tearing my (limited) hair out at this as it was set to rarely.

But then I thought, is a shot from the edge of the box really classed as that? IRL football if players get a chance to, they do shoot from that range and it really isnt classed as long range.

Long range IMO is 30 yards +, and with the rarely setting it isnt a problem.

I think this is part of a more general problem with players taking too many long shots.

I agree with skintsaint, but do the match engine agree with us?
i mean, those shots are considered long range or not?
