Alrite! Many ppl here say they've managed to keep their retired legends(the ones who want to become coach after their playing career is over) as coaches.

At July 01, 2011 on my Man. United game, Giggsy just vanished. On FM 07, I actually had an option to give him a new contract as a coach right after he announced his retirement. There was no option like that here all the way.

Plz help ppl, I haven't saved my game yet !!!

if you go on the players personal data they say if they want to stay in the game after their playing career has finished. So when they are coming to the end of it tell the press that they would be a good coach or what ever and keep telling them that for a while then offer them a contract and they should sign as the role they are happy with for you

I gave giggs a coaching contract after he decided to retire before he was forced to play at a lower level. It was only available to offer a few weeks before his contract ran out tho.

Some players want to keep playing tho. I ended up releasing Scholes and Neville because they just wouldn't stop asking for first team games but they wouldn't retire either. They're both now at Fulham and Neville is the assistant manager there. He's not very good though lol

Damn! I guess you are right R-dizzle. I missed out on it. Giggs, VDS & Scholes are gone now . I'll tryt o keep Neville then.
