Ok so i am managing Villa, into my second season and i request a feeder club. The board ask me what type of feeder club do i want. What is best to choose?
a lower league club for first option on players and send players on loan then national loan
a club to send players on loan to help with work permit problems rg man u and antwerp - then work permit
commercial link - to gain extra income in merchandising
international loan - like chelsea and psv
i always go for commerical link first to get me some extra money, then when my club is getting better or if you already are a top club then i go for work permit so i can the young brazilian starlets.
but in all honety its best to try and get one of each
National Loan/First option is a local club that you can send players out to so they can gain experience in a first team (if they're good enough) or you have the option of equalling any bids accepted for players of the club which must be accepted.
International loan is as above, except outside of the UK.
WP is a club in Portugal or Belgium which operates like a national loan in that you send players over to your feeder club for a season at a time so that they can gain Portugese/Flemish nationality (takes three years) and are therefore eligible to play football in england two years earlier than they would. They can also gain a lot of good first team experience there that they may not get in your side.
Commercial Links are clubs in China (and maybe America?) that you affilate yourself with to provide a boost to income. In short:
National loan/FO if you want somewhere to send english youth players to train and get match practice.
International loan/FO are generally not that great.
WP is by far the most useful if you have the Americas or Asia loaded, since all countries in those continents produce a lot of extremely talented players who will never get a WP until they're worth ridiculous amounts anyway (Cahais being a good example)
Commercial Link is if you just want money.
If it's your first feeder and you do have noneuro leagues loaded, definately get a WP club. A semidecent second or third league side in belgium will train, play, and nationalise a youngster for you, so when they can play for you in three years time they are already making great progress in their career.
I try to get one in scotland. The young players will usually get a good deal of first team experience if they go there. I've got Motherwell for my Utd team and i send most Brazilians over there lol. Thiago has been there 2 years now, think he wants to stay :/
Have Anterwep and Macabi Hifa (sp?) for international loans. The rest are for friendlies and income
i actually find international loans to be quite useful if you already have a belgian feeder because since it is there you can sign players with the work permit status but you might not want them to play in belgium, maybe you want them to play for a bigger club in spain in a higher quality league for example
