I'm Leeds in 2010 / 2011 and have a measely £3.5M in transfers. My wage budget is over the limit but coming down through a pruning exercise (I'm selling my flotsam for 0-100k each), but I can't increase my budget.
I know most leagues are different but any guesses or advice on solid backup players would be appreciated. In terms of stars I already have:
GK Pletikosa
RB Baragan
LB Akousso-Ekkoto (or whatever)
CB Breno
CB Christopher Samba
DM Makoun
DM Andreasen
AMC van der Vaart (not performing)
AMR Torje
AML Farfan
ST Stancu
I use either this tactic or 4-5-1 depending on the opposition.
Other decent players:
Haynes
Doudin
Martin Petrov
Piatti
Paito (excellent backup LB)
Anthony Le Tallec
Saivet (getting there but not first teamer yet)
Was sitting pretty in 4th for most of the season but an awful December (tiredness, suspensions, injury) has seen me drop to 8th, highlighting how pants my backup players are.
I keep getting offers for Breno, but only up to £18M which I think is laughable when Corluka is having £20M offers rejected by Man City. Breno is my top performer and the match preview nearly always comment on how few goals we've conceded when he plays.
I'm in the Uefa cup, BTW.
Any suggestions appreciated.
