I have recently got back into looking closely at how my guys were proforming in training, having left it to my caoches for too long. I was thinking about the ones who my coaches were saying weren't trying hard enough.
Being the kind caring manager that I am I want to fine their sorry little asses.
the question I have is have any Llmas done this succesfully, all I seem to remember when I tried last time was them all getting the hump and wondering why they had been fined or warned
Have i succesfully fined somebody? Well, wage economy as a result - that's pretty successful.
1 out of four, or, maybe, ten, would say "yup, boss! me works harder from now on!", while other preferred to say something like "yo, man? were we supposed to do that 'train' stuff?! kiss my arse, yo!"
IRL, i guess, one gets warning first, and then, if the same schite repeats, losses some money.
The only thing that worked for me always is 1 week wage fine after red cards for stupid fouls. Though none yet this season :p
I'm ok with fines for sendings off, warning 1st noe then fines after that, making sure I add it to there notes so I know whos had what, but warning and fining for being a lazy good for nothing is tougher
Well, actually, i don't warn or fine anybody so often. This is mainly because those who do not perform good usually have some reasons. It may be lack of motivation after sitting for 2 years in reserves (not playing in it either). Or maybe because of long exhausting season. Works good though on players who appear to be 'Professional'. And those 'professionals' are so rare in LL...

What do you use? Unprofessional behaviour?

Yeah I tend to agree, I keep of the fine and warn bottons as much as possible. Ok so kkep my training gripes to those who are proffesional . If i ever get one of those i'll let you know
If they are also late for training I also warn them, and fine repeat offenders.
If they don't like it, then they start looking for another club, even if it's my star player. I don't have prima donnas. Those that are aren't around for long.

I had a player once who turned up late for training on 7-8 occasions in a month. He wasn't exactly turning it on during matches either, so I warned him. 2 late appearances at training later, I fined him.
Little had I noticed he was the most popular player at the club.
Time to look for another job.
