The old stadium was much better.

Especially as an away fan.

Open terrace, sunshine, easy 2-0 win.

Bit scary sitting at the back, being held from a 20 foot drop by chicken wire though

Ahhhhhh, division 2 days, who needs cup finals?

Season 2007/8, we'd done a fair job at East Stirlingshire, a couple of Cup finals (they sure do suck ass, though) and a Uefa Cup 4th round and possible (given a great deal of luck and faith in the Lord) promotion to the SPL, things were looking rosie in Falkirk.

Best performance of the 5 seasons was by a Scottish FC (take note Doug) who came on with 14 minutes to go with us 3-1 down and scored a hat-trick in 7 minutes to see us out 4-3 winners. There's dents in my ceiling from me hitting the roof.

Worst was a 6-1 defeat by Stirling Albion in the Cup - when I was playing my top team for once.

What else...Oh, the ground share with Falkirk is ongoing for some reason, even though the Media said the work was completed we never went back to Firs Park, and any mention of ground expansion brings the "it's not yours" message.

Reason for this update is that Souness was sacked as Manager of Blackburn Rovers and they asked me to take over (mugs!).

I did.

I take over the reins with Blackburn having played 12 games, and having amassed 13 points. We're currently in 13th place, two points above relegation and 17 points behing League Leaders, Chelski.

I've taken my AssMan with me, as is the current trend, and have signed a couple of good-looking Scots from East Stirlingshire - young boys - and have put in sneaky bids for their top scorer and their goalie - hey, if it's good enough for Martin O'Neill...

Here we go...
