Liverpool () suck arse, Ian?

KUTGW. I always enjoy seasons like that, where you join a club mid-season and have to keep them up and build a team to challenge next year. Maybe I should ship-jump more often

Be gentle with my team there, or I'll cry heavily.

Cups suck...they really suck...they suck ass!!!

Consider this. We were going quite well, thank you very much. We were always in the top five, right from the start, beating the big teams and drawing every game with bottom 5 Clubs, but you expect such things with 03/04, out of the League Cup early doors...and in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

What do you do? We were about 8 points behind the leaders, Villa, do I play a weakened team and risk a replay or do I play the first team and risk injury, or worse, do I risk winning in the semi-final and going on the AI-punishment losing streak?

I hedge my bets and play a sort of half-and-half team, enough first teamers to win the game and enough reserves to make sure no-on important's unfit for the midweek game.

We win 2-0.

We promptly draw 4 and lose 1 of the next five games, and win the last two, 10 points out of 21, and finish in 3rd place, 9 points behind Villa.

We should have played duffers in the semi-final and concentrated on the League...I say it often enough...I always say concentrate on the League...feckin' Cups...Cups suck ass!!!

We won the Cup, btw. Beat Forest in the Final 2-0.

Woop-ee-doo

I look upon it as losing a fiver and finding a pound, Kostis. It's nice having a spare quid, but think of what you could have had

Let's have a look at what you could have won [/Jim Bowen]

That does indeed suck arse, Ian. I do agree with Kostis, you did win the FA Cup, even if you are not too happy with the cloud that accompanies your silver lining

At least you're not at RL Millwall, being forced to sell your best players to prepare for that European adventure
