Absolutely.

Let me enlighten you why...

The two games following the 4-1 win over Real Madrid (which was achieved by a second-string team) we lost 2-1 to East Stirlingshire and drew with Hibs, severely denting our hopes of a decent SPL finish.

This is a normal occurence, winning against a big team then losing against shÂ*ite, it's as if the game is programmed to punish you for your cheek.

One thing I don't understand, and I'd like you to help me out if you can anyone...

Why is it that in every version of CM the commentary goes along the lines of "Hibs change to a defensive formation", then they go on a 20 minute constant attacking rampage and invariably score?

Beats me.

It's like the Arsenal formation of a few incarnations back where they played counter-attacking with an attacking mentality.

Anyhoo...Celtic next.

6-0 at Celtic Park  [/brag]

Lost my Aussie D RLC for two games through suspension, though. He's 32 now, been at Tynecastle 11 seasons and is averaging 7.28 over the 11. Wonder how long he'll stay at Hearts in real life?

Using game knowledge IRL now too? Should be against the rules too.

We did the Tainted Treble this season.

Why tainted? Since you asked, I shall explain...

Last night/this morning I decided to head for bed about 2am following a reasonable session of CM. We'd been put out of the Cup by Hibs at the quarter final stage (no tears shed apart from the Hibs bit - we just can't beat them), we were through to the Champions' Cup semi final against ManUre, and we had reached the split in the SPL with a healthy 14 point lead with 5 games to go, a win or a couple of draws to clinch it.

Bedtime.

But before I went I thought I'd have a look at who was in the top 6, where the First leg of the semi was to be played, etc.

So, as I'd already clicked on "Quit Game" I thought I'd just cancel it, but clicked "No" on the "Do you wish to save before quitting" instead of cancel, and lost over a month of games, 10 in all, including a particularly sweet quarter final win over Feyenoord.

I was tired, angry, disillusioned, God knows all what, so I decided to just set the game on holiday for the amount of time I'd lost.

25 minutes later the game had holidayed its way back to April 23rd. We had beaten Feyenoord again, set up the semi against ManUre, and this time were 9 points ahead with 5 games to go....but we'd beaten Hibs in the quarter final, Dundee United in the semi final and were playing Queens Park(?) in the final of the Scottish Cup.

We ended up winning all three, but it feels wrong holding the Scottish Cup aloft when we'd lost in the games I'd played.

The wife was most annoyed I'd stayed up another 25 minutes, btw

Thanks are due to a brace of Polish Defenders signed in the January window who bolstered the defence wonderfully well and, with my ex-East Stirlingshire goalie, kept us down to 24 goals lost in 38 League games.

Looking forward to next season now

Do the right thing and give the trophy to Queen's Park. They've not won anything in about a century.

[relief]We just beat Hibs ...and it was at Easter Road WAHGERTY!11 [/relief]
We've only beaten them 4 times in 13 games since I took over. We've only beaten them 10 times in 43 games since the start of the savegame.

They've beaten us 5-1 twice and 4-1 twice and 3-0 several times...

...but we beat them 3-2 this time...at Easter Road

Hehe
