I am starting a new game with Morecambe, only my second venture into LLM. I have 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 installed, but I wanted to play with the teams how they are to start this year. LLM rules specifically state no 3rd party. Isn't there some Update out there blessed by the LLM community that simply contains objective, this team moved up, this player moved here info? If not, that's fine. I want to be within the guidelines more than I want fresh data. But if I can somehow have both, that would be the best.
If you are asking for information on how did your team do opposed to preseasonal expectations I´d suggest the official boards the team might have IRL...
LLaMas only recognise official SI patches, so a LLaMa game would require you use the old data. It's not like you can change the game's start date anyway.
Editing the database post release in any fashion has been found by LLaMas to induce an unnacceptably high risk of data corruption.
I think you have the wrong end of the stick Jordi. From reading that I gather Jason is looking for an update for the new season with W.B.A moved into the Premiership etc?
The only patches used here Jason are the ones made by Sigames. The latest so far is 4.1.5, which you already have.
Welcome to LLM. Stick around, I am sure you'll like it here.
My question is really "Is there any LLM way to use CM03/04 but play starting right now, in 04/05 using real transfers and promotion/relegation for the year?" It would seem the reason editors and 3rd party are banned is due to the cheat aspect. Wondering if some data update held factual stuff like that that would give no one side an advantage over another. The LLM ethics would not seem to be broken because there does not seem to be any subjective/opinion stuff involved.
jasons957: see my earlier response - it's not just cheating. We like long games, and editing the DB creates a higher than average risk of a corruption to the game.
You could go on holiday for the first season if you want to start "now", but the promotions & relegations would be unlikely to match RL
