Ooh, lets all get our PCs out on the table and compare sizes.

I have an AMD Duron 64 3000+ with HT and 1024 GB RAM.

CM 03/04 runs lovely.

I am not going to get into the argument "My PC is quicker than your PC", but I feel that you young whippersnappers are always expecting instantaneous results. (No I am not talking aboput your management style)
My games last for ages as it takes about 10 to 20 days of playing every evening just to complete one season. Some other games I play can take me months to get anywhere. While the game is progessing slowly I read. I get through about 12 books a week and play at the same time.
Job Jobbed.

Agree with Church.

DB size: large, leagues running - all.

Except July-Aug and Jan all works pretty smooth.

Reading book and doing things solves the problem of 'long-wait'

I tend to like running around 30 leagues, 10-15 nations depending on whats slected. The island hopping bug in 03/04 has been more of a pain than the speed, reading, net surfing, family time all fill the gaps.

looking forward to FM05 so hopefully LLM can travel the world again

I recall when I was at school (and I think this was for all my 'O' and 'A' Level English essays) I was docked marks for each spelling (and grammatical) error. I assume this practise has now been dropped.
