What a 1st season (not over yet, but I think I am not far of getting the boot). 18 games played sitting 19th with Hereford. I managed to get the wages down but the board is still worried about the long term $$$$ of the club. It has been a struggle this far, dropping in and out of relegation, getting hammered one game and bouncing back with a decent win or draw the next few.
So here's the big picture, have a small squad as many wouldn't accept a wage reduction and left to other clubs when their contract allowed them to. Not alot of $$$ for transfers, and got a message saying my job was safe in the media, one week the board are unsatisfied with me then week satisfied, I feel like the hangmans noose is only weeks or days away.
Worst thing is I knocked back two job offers from Northampton and Crystal Palace as I thought sticking with the club would be the go, might be my downfall eh?
Well just thought I would share the heartache of LLM with my fellow LLM ;-)
Cheers
p.s. I dred clicking continue... the stress of it all <G>
Thanks guys for the replies, just got home from work, (on arvo's this week) so I think I will start up my game and play until the wee hours (or once my wife yells at me to get of the computer <G>.
Sorry about Northampton dude, just thought I would stick with Hereford and try to improve my situation (yet at last glance my job was listed as insecure).
So general concenus is leave the sinking ship at next job offer <G>.
Cheers all
p.s. will keep you informed on how I go, but as you know once relegated from the confernce not much chance getting another job, oh wait one there is always Oz <G>
As you guys predicited, still got heaps of job offers. Played until 01:00 last night and the good news is I escaped the drop and finished 12th (I hope this is not considered bragging). Good news is my job is safe, down a few players, still have long term money problems but from a LLM perspective, I feel I played it true to the rules. My loyality is 16 in my profile and I suspect that is one good aspect of my decissions through out 1st season.
Loans helped alot, but overall am still in charge come 2nd season, but yes to get back on subject 03/04 keeps LLM alive. Well done SI.
Oh well thats all for now and I will finish up as this must seem like bragging but I am not, was pleasently suprised at how much fun LLM could be, it would be fair to say 03/04 is fun to play (at last) and I for one cannot wait for FM2005 ;-)
(and simply reporting you finished 12th is in no way considered bragging. You'd have to start doing an "I'm fabulous because I finished 12th" dance to qualify for bragging )
