Probably not a good idea to post that link in here, as there seem to be real player names in that story. Reading the header would inform you we don't like that sort of thing in here. We're wierd like that.

It's a famous interjunction. It's used to indicate a sudden vanishing:
The magician waved a wand, and poof! The birds disappeared!
It might of course also have some other meaning. Who knows? Maybe dictionary.com? *hint*
