After quite some pondering, I decided to give my copy of 03/04 another go. I loaded up only the Argentinean league (medium DB), and picked a team that looked decent in the second division. My choice soon came to Tiro Federal, a small club in the suburbs of Rosario. With a 2500 no-seater stadium, no cash, and being newly promoted I think this could be a pretty decent selection.
So, after half a season in, opening stage finished, things are quite much okay. Except for the fact that I don't have a physio and no physio wants to sign for me. Or the fact that my scout is crap. Or the fact that my players are crap too. League table says, we're ranked 7th, but nobody cares for that anyway. Average points is all that counts.
With some luck we might avoid the drop, but I fear the worst, with my best scorer being a 36 year old guy from Uruguay, scoring 9 in 18.
On the cash side, things don't look too bright either. Only signing were three youth players on free, none of them making it into the first squad (why the hell did the scout recommend them?), and I sold my probably best player before the first game in order to get some funds in. Unfortunately, he's the only player in the whole squad that drew some interest from other teams, the other deadwood even won't go for free.
on fitness: not really, but fixtures aren't too tight with only 19 games from Aug to Dec.
on injuries: I think I'm suffering from more injuries than usual. Of my 20 players in the first team squad there are always 4 or 5 injured ones. It might have to do though with the fact that there are lots of rambos around. Almost every game there is a sending off, people pushing each other, or the referee, or just doing crazy tacklings. I even had a forward dismissed after two bookings for harsh fouls after 6 minutes. :o
Heh, Argentina and Turkey are the worst leagues in terms of discipline. I had a short spell in Argentina. 20 games, 80 yellow cards and 6 reds. I gave up, or else my screen/PC/mouse/keyboard would be in serious trouble

I played in spain with Universad de las Palmas and had no phsyio's the amount of injuries I picked up was unbelivable, Players come back too soon after an injury and than pick up another the same day
I'm too much of a poof to play in argentina, I'll play anywhere in the world but not there, don't get the system and don't fancy seeing all my players getting a kicking each game.
