It's a long long way to River Plate, because they're too far down in the lower leagues.
Anyway, I checked my records, after 20 games, we had "only" 56 yellows and 10 reds on our books. My right midfielder alone had 10 yellows and 3 reds.
Anyway, season went pretty uneventful. Except for even more injuries, an assistant manager saying that he wants to leave (which he did after the end of the season, leaving me with no staff whatsoever), and a safe mid-table position in the end.
Some of my so called "star players" decided that they wanted somewhat else, so I got rid of them. Sold a DMC for 85000 EUR (3kx24 months + 12k), which cut our debt into half, and traded my right winger (not the 10yel3red one) in for a direly needed DC. DC is valued at 1k, right winger was at 170k. I think I managed a great deal there. :o
Still, next season looks a bit promising. Spent all my whopping 16k transfer kitty on a DC, so I finally got 4 DC's in my squad now, and I also signed a GK, a AMC/FC and a FC on frees. All three look pretty promising, especially the 15 yr old FC. I might play him from time to time next season, but I don't want to risk too much, having no physio.
My scout (hm, I forgot that he is still with me) found a player too on his South America Tour - a DL/ML from Palmeiras in Brazil. Funnily he only found him but didn't bring back a scout report, but I nevertheless signed him on a bosman for next year (January), and scouted him afterwards. Hot future ahead! |

I've had enough. Being without physio was already a pain. Being without a coach or assistant manager made things even worse. It seems that my players got even faster injured now when nobody managed their training sessions.
After half of the season, Tiro Federal were fighting against relegation (so far successfully) and in my direst need I sacrificed my scout and promoted him to assistant manager. I also finally found a physio who was willing to join Tiro Federal, which swallowed almost my whole 12k transfer budget.
Still, I was pretty frustrated about seeing 60% of my players injured (not for some days but pretty seriously). So, no wonder, when struggling fellow league members Talleres de Cordoba came in with an offer for me, I accepted.
The closing season I had to spend with rebuilding the squad a bit to make sure that we avoided relegation. We succeeded, and I managed to sell quite a couple of guys, and released some other ones too. Due to not much preparation time, I only picked up three forwards on bosmans that my scouts recommended (one from Ecuador, one from Panama, one Argentinian), and I also signed a free Colombian goalkeeper. As long as they speak Spanish, I'm happy.
Season expectations are a respectable league position. Sounds okay, since I finished the close season 5th, but if the new forwards do better than the old ones (who were a disaster!) we might even fight for promotion. No idea what I'd have to achieve for that though, but the game will tell me after the last match. |

You should check the average points page. If you 're in the top 2, you'll get promoted. Simnple as that

too late, we're already in the next season, but with Talleres, things were pretty disciplined. Seems like they have more potential and are able to kick the ball and not the opposition.
And, unfortunately, it's not as easy. In the end, there are four promotion playoffs. One of the teams even gets "three chances" in them, losing playoff after playoff, and still participating in the next one.
The average points section is cool though but I still need to figure it out. The first season, the last positioned team on average points wasn't even relegated, but instead it took a mid-table team down who was never worse than 14th.
I wonder, is there some South-American guy who can explain the rules of the Argentinean league in CM 03/04? I knew how it worked in 01/02 but they changed it. |

My hopes that the new forwards would be any better were not successful. Well, almost. The new Argentiniean forward, a River reject, scored 20 in 34, also adding 12 assists and 10 MoM, averaging 7.74. The Ecuadorian scored 4 and assisted 6 in 14 (6.40), and the guy from Panama also scored 4, assisted 3 in 15, averaging 6.50. Not too bad in overall, but I really need a striker that is able to put the goals in, should my #1 get injured or banned.
Other than that, we did okay. We leaked a lot, with pretty bad performances from our 3 goalies and the full-backs. Finished 8th in the opening season which was on target. Got only 2 points out of 9 in the beginning of the close season and almost got the sacking, so I decided to change things. What do you do if you got no decent full-backs? Play without them.
With those adaptions, and an additional midfielder we managed to play a great closed-season and almost won the stage. A couple of bad performances in the end costed us dearly and we dropped back to 7th.
Still, we're on schedule, and maybe we can land one or two decent transfers in the summer break. Depends on transfer income, though. No decent player detected on bosmans until now. |

Rep Power: 0 | Talleres de Córdoba, Season 4
Board expectations were a respectable league position again. Transfer budget was approx 500k again. Pretty much, I must say, but fair, since our low wage bill (10k/week below the cap) resulted in a nice profit in the end of the season.
Nevertheless, things didn't work too well. Tactics weren't working too well anymore - it seems our opponents finally found out that I was really weak on the wings and playing more through the middle, so I had to change things again.
To make things worse, Dinamo Kiev decided to roam around in Argentine to find some talent and returned home into the Ukraine with our right winger in the luggage. The transfer fee of a whopping 2.3 million € was nice (one of the highest in Argentina so far) but will be paid within 24 months with installments, so I had no money to find adequate replacement. I managed to pick up a scouted right winger though, exchanging a very talented DMC for him. I guess it was a bad deal for my side, seeing how quickly the other team accepted, but hey, at least I had a right winger.
So, opening season went badly, and we ended up 13th. Fortunately, tactical changes and our new right winger were working well, and in the closing season we finished 6th.
For next year, the board expects a respectable league position again. Due to the Dinamo Kiev transfer, we have a million € to spend, but the scouts have not unearthed any player so far that would be worth it. Well - except for one: we grabbed a very promising striker (he's 23 now) for 350k, to support my super-forward (who scored 19, gave 11 assists and got 7 MoM last season, averaging 7.51, being fans player of the year again).
Other than that, a couple of average players switched working places. A first teamer AMC who didn't bring it on the field came, together with a DC who wasn't too bright either, my Panama striker left for 275k, and a couple of players are coming in on bosmans. They're pretty old (29 old striker, 31 year old MLC), but I hope they will make a decent backup, should I get into injury trouble.
I am greatly enjoying working for Talleres btw. They have decent dark blue and white colors, a nice stadium, and the chairman seems to be okay too. For that reason, I declined two pretty interesting job offers of both former first division teams Lanús and Argentinos Juniors.
