It was actually only a few days ago that I actually saw a GK score from his upfield foray at a corner for the first time. Sadly he was playing for the opposition (but it was a only a preseason friendly).

Surprisingly, however, it wasn't a scrambled effort after a melee in the 6-yard box. It was a corner cleared from the near post which fell to the GK 25 yards out. He promptly buried it in the top corner :eek:

My goalkeeper has gone up a couple of times for a corner (I didn't ask him to), but it was all rather pointless cos he was only arriving on the edge of the area when the corner was taken to nowhere near him - if he's going to go up for it at least wait until he's there in the thick of it before you take the damn corner Thankfully the opposition weren't too slick and he managed to retreat far enough before they broke upfield!

Just played Carmarthen Town, 1-0 up, 90 minutes up, their goalie comes up for a corner. corner's headed out to my FC who scores from 75 yards!!!

Once my right winger decided to play the ball home instead of making a cross into the box. My GK was atm standing in the far corner of the penalty box. Result? A fine 90 yard own goal. Beat that.
