After playing CM 03/04 for a while i've got several proofs of SI's conspiracy. Here they are:
1. Stupidizer (tm). When everything's going fine, the program sets this one 'ON', and your players begin to do crap. I.e., striker with Fin 17 and Tec 20 misses ~10-20 shots from the goal line high and wide; defenders do backpasses to their keeper with such power that famous Real M bald brazilian ball-kicker rests aside; goalies drop the balls into their own net and so on.
2. Revolt (tm). When everything goes as it goes, a group of your players decides to change things up and begin to do crap. I.e., firstly they ignore flank setting (DL running to DR is most obvious), then they ignore line setting (DC wandering at FR position when opposition attacks). When you ask them to pass short, you rarely see a pass for shorter than 50 yards. When you don't ask them to shoot from range, 90% of your total shots come from 30+ yards out. 'Play on the flank' usually causes them to crowd in the center circle and kicking the ball up and down.
3. GlassBody (tm). Your players are very fragile, but brave persons. This includes their souls, minds, and bodies. One can easily play the game with a green cross near his name, have a condition of 90 at the end, but then he'll be out for 2+ months because of broken leg, hand, head or something else.
4. HappyLinesman (tm). When you're on attack, there's a very good chance to break it down because of an offside decision. Vice versa, opposition's attaks die by offside rarely, even if the linesman had his flag up. This is because he's a keen admirer of opposition team, and, while they're on the attack he flags to support them (there's probably "Go, Altrincham!" written on his flag), not to indicate the obvious offside.
5. SuperGoalie (tm). The best keeper to keep the net clean is a crap keeper. Didn't you know that? Of cause, no. Because this rule apply only to opposing team. Argh, bad issue.
6. BBC's Discovery (tm). Haven't you seen your scout in the titles? No wander you're surprised with his findings from wherever, except for where you sent him. His on his job man!
Seems like the list is still incomplete, but i'll continue my investigation.
