Well, a journey to a once-friendly East-European country moved a week forward, so i had some time to continue with my Telford.
With 35 games played we were 6th with lots of points (~15) behind leading Dag&Red, and 5 points behind 5th placed Stevenage. But during the last 7 games in April and May we managed to put out some performance! Won 6 games (5 in a row also), and drew only one, which secured our first personal awards - two manager of the month and two player of the month.

The last game day was my best LLM experience ever.
We were 4th behind 3rd placed Shrewsbury, having the same amount of points but a goal difference of "+26" compared to their "+27". They played home vs. Accringhton, and we were away at Scarborough. We scored late in the first, which put us in front, as Shrews were drawing at the half-time. But at 70 min they scored their goal, going back to 3rd with +1 in g.d. On 78 min we scored second, but that only evened the goal difference (those guys had more wins also)... And then, after a great counter-attack we scored third with only a few minutes left! I was more excited, than ever before!
Those Shrewsbs revenged me, though, knocking me out of Play-off Semi-final on penalties.

They got promoted then, beating Barnet (which knocked out Chester [3:3H, 2:0A]) in the final.
Having placed 3rd in the Conference, we now now what should we justify to compete succesfully during the next season. Having renewed contracts of key players and signed some decent youngsters, the task seems to be real. Though board wants me to 'rebuild the squad'. June, 2004 is in process.
Oh, yeah. Almost forgot. The only penalty in that play-off game was missed by my best forward. Bad luck. Though he still won 'fan's player of the year' prize having 37 league games, 20 goals, 11 assists and 23 MoMs.
