Brighton came in with an offer just as the other Club were about to dispense with my Services for finishing 14th in the Premiership, and having won the FA Cup, and lying in 6th position at the midway point, out of the League Cup but about to face Plymouth in the 2nd round of the Champions' Cup.

The Board were satisfied with my performance, but the fans had "formed a pressure group to attempt to persuade the Board to dispense with my services". Cool :cool:

I packed my virtual bags and was out of there like a ferret down a rabbit hole.

Brighton were 23rd in Division 1, really old squad and some U-19's, and £21m in transfer funds.

I signed only free transfers, including a Spanish DC who turned up in the scout list - big mistake, though...he was humpty!!! - and decided to rely on my World-renowned skills as a master tactician and motivator of players...

...and we were relegated in 24th place.

The Board and the Fans were extremely dissatisfied (or unsatisfied to use CM parlance) but I managed to survive the drop...and the Board decided to expand the Stadium by 6150 seats for the 2nd Division onslaught

I've managed to secure the signing of Plymouth's Slovenian on a free (he signed before we were relegated on a Bosman so didn't actually arrive until July 2016) and we had 14 youngsters promoted. The Scout found another two 17y/o's released by Man City and Tottenham, so we'll see how they do

The Board have sanctioned £16m in transfer funds, though we're only £6m in the black so I'll resist the temptation to spend any of it.

...and Plymouth have released a Scottish FRL so I've just signed him.

We've played 6 games, 5 in the League with a 2-2-1 record, lying 7th, and lost in the League Cup to Crewe.
