We deliberated long and hard over this issue. Some of us are still against updates but are willing to give it a try.
It's only a temporary thing and if we see things going downhill, we'll probably shut down all updates (apart from the one that was allowed to go on).

I personally miss the good ones. Yes, you have to wade through a lot of crap to find them but I think that they're worth it.

Was going to post a few days ago saying I thought the forum had improved no end in the last few weeks, definitely the best it's been in a long time in my opinion. So quite surprised to see updates return, even though I was in favour originally.
