Season 7 - The Beginning

Once again I opened up a Serie B campaign with the same board and fan expectations. However this time a few other things changed. Firstly I got Italian second nationality - I wonder if this would help me get a new job? Secondly we got a new 5-year sponsership deal of a whopping £209k. This was a mammoth upgrade from £43.25k!

Transfer dealings were minimal after my extravagant spending of the previous season. One player was promoted and promptly released a few months later and one youngster went out on loan (rare stuff). The big news was my backstabbing. Our captain since the beginning, a 265 game Montichiari hero was offered around behind his back. Of course he found out, he wasn't happy but was shipped out for £60k to C2 where his wages were tripled! I can't help but feel a bit dirty for doing it though. An Argie came in on a free and replaced him.

Another change, we made it through the group stage of the cup (with minimal income) where we met Serie A Ascoli in the first round. A 2-1 win away infront of a smallish crowd and we had hopes of progressing to meet Inter and what would have been a jackpot. Then going 2 nil up at home we seemed through .... an 89th minute penalty put us out 4-4 on away goals. Expletive removed.

Now at the New Year we have been having our best Serie B year yet. We sit 10th on a massive 23 points. The team has really come together especially the promising SC, the new DM C and the other usual suspects. Aiming for top 10 but we'll see.

Was playing tonight and realised I forgot to mention a couple of things.

My 18 year old promising SC made his debut for the Italian U21's and in his second game scored a goal. First person to gain any type of international cap while at Monitchiari.

Secondly for the first ever time in the Serie B we are not the favourites to finish last. According the the betting for the matches we are only second worst in the div. and are considered better than the awful Prato!! :thup:

Lastly I forgot to say that at the end of season 6 for the first time we got a player in the Serie B team of the year, our GK as backup GK.

Bad news everyone!!

Things were going great. The team was playing well and with nine games left were miles clear of the relegation zone not too mention a top ten spot looked a possibility. I had also been given the prestigious job of manager of Fiji. :cool: However the save game decided to crack the shits. Unfortuately it came when then team was finally putting in some classy performaces and before I could have one game in charge of the Fijians.

Anyway an error comes up saying Out of Memory followed by Program Closing Due to Lack of Memory, Bye Bye. There seems to be some problem that fixes it, I have tried to use it but alas I can't get the ******* to fix my game. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this problem I'd appreciate it otherwise I suppose its time to bin this thread.
