Whats the most unusual team that you've seen promoted to the Conference in England? Apparently only the teams in the 3 feeder divisions (at the start of the game) can get promoted. Has anyone seen a team that isn't ie Armthorpe Welfare, Belper Town etc get promoted?

I've never completed enough seasons to see some of the more obscure clubs get promoted, but I'd be surprised if AFC Wimbledon don't come up, and they were 4 leagues below the Conference last season.

Most obscure I've seen is Bamber Bridge, although back in the old days of CM00/01 you could see teams like Clapton or Berkhamsted after 20 or so seasons into the game.

I am yet to see any obscure teams be promoted to the conference. THe same teams relegated seem to come back up the next season.

AFC Wimbledon usually drop straight back down in my saves, so i've never managed them.
Enield almost always get promoted at some point, while Leigh RMI always drop after the first season and never come back  | |

AFC Wimbledon have just been promoted in my save... and managerless... am currently with Northampton in the Prem... Soooooo tempted to leave
Is it wrong to be manager of AFC Wimbledon AND England???
