I suspect that many of you do not use certain tactical tweaks once you find it allows an unrealistic advantage against computer managed teams.
Given that the LLM online community is growing, and the need for a level playing field is critical to enhancing this type of gaming, is there any benefit in publishing a short list of tactical restrictions per version e.g. 01/02, CM4 and 03/04?
Trust is all well and good, but given how this forum encourages you to stumble across these type of things, inadvertent use of taboo tactical tweaks can occur. One or two ground rules may reduce the risk of embarrassment and the degradation of the game.
It may be that the best option is to list tactical restrictions on a clan-by-clan basis (as exists today in some clans).
The risk (playing devil's advocate) is that the highly enjoyable discovery process may be tainted by the publication of any tactical restrictions.
I think posting a list of tactical restrictions is far too close to posting tactics to be allowable - especially since there are those of us that enjoy reading about the LLM online games, yet don't play online ourselves, therefore not wanting to know anything about the tactical "taboos", so we can discover (or not) for ourselves.
