I have tried startin a network game with my friend but when i gave him the IP address he said it was unable t connect. Then he tried starting it but we had same problem. We wondered if it was because he were both using laptops?

has the person creating th network game ticked the box "run as server". using laptops has no impact.

Ye we ticked the 'run as server' box then on game status it gave us 2 IP addresses seperated by a /, neither worked

Me and my mate have tried before and had the same problem you're having. We tried everything but ended up giving up. Just could not get it to work.
