ok i have always played every FM when it comes out for maybe 3 4 months solid.this time i have not done a season yet on fm2008 because of the bugs people are mentioning the main one being the amount of chances created (30 shots only 1 goal) as i used to use this to gauge how good my team is playing and if its inaccurate then whats the point? so is this version good? where does it rank compared to other fm long term?

I find this version to be one of the easier to play out-of-the-box, although there are some issues. I found that some of the things that irked me about 07 have been addressed, such as differentiation of playing styles between lower-level leagues and upper-level leagues (still some work to do, IMO).

Put it this way - I haven't once been tempted to go back to 07. But I strongly advise you to run the patch.

you can always rely on a fellow gooner to give you the truth plain and simple!! nice one mate and i got the patch 8.0.1 loading up a new game now might aswell give this game a try and leave pro evo 8 alone for a bit
